Scholarships will cover the costs of economy class round-trip airfare, and lodging. Ground transportation, baggage fees, meals, parking, incidental expenses and any other costs incurred not explicitly listed as part of the scholarship are the grant travelers’ responsibility. The event will provide some meals including breakfast, lunch and mid-evening snacks on the convening day - September 16, 2023.

Youth who are awarded a travel scholarship will travel on Friday, September 15, 2023 and depart on Sunday, September 17, 2023.

To be eligible to apply for a National Convening scholarship, youth (15-29) must meet the following criteria:

• Self-identify with a marginalized group (include women, people with disabilities, people of color, LGBTQ+ folks, Indigenous peoples, people of a lower socio-economic status and so on)

• Must be willing to volunteer at minimum 5-6 hours toward convening logistics roles including set-up, registration, tear-down and more between Friday and Sunday;

• Must commit to attending the entire conference, including travel days

• Must be accompanied by a chaperone, unless prior approval is given at youthpower@noys.org.

We are accepting applications on a rolling basis. All interested applicants must submit the following:
