What are NOYS interns saying about their experience?
“I had the honor of working personally with the NOYS staff for four months. What I appreciated the most about NOYS is their genuine passion for youth in matters ranging from safety to opportunity. Aside from making a family away from home, I was able to learn a variety of different skills and gain knowledge relating to project management, public speaking, creative projects, group management, non-profits, and more. NOYS has helped me build an edge and has helped me grow by challenging me. Anyone looking for an awarding and fun internship should definitely apply to NOYS!” ~Chantalle Lopez, 2017 NOYS
“Interning at the National Organizations for Youth Safety has given me incredible opportunities, remarkable work experience, and has allowed me to challenge myself. The work provided to interns is engaging as well as important: your efforts have the potential to save lives! NOYS has helped me gain lifelong connections and a better understanding of non-profit work. I advise anyone looking for a rewarding and insightful opportunity to apply for a NOYS internship!” ~Addie Dlott, 2016 NOYS Intern
“The National Organizations for Youth Safety internship is more than just an internship. While I have spent many years with NOYS in youth leadership positions and gained many skills, the internship allowed me to really understand the inner workings of a nonprofit organization. The amount of connections that are made through this internship are truly endless. If you are looking for a place to learn real-world skills pertaining to government relations or nonprofit management, I encourage you to apply to the internship program through NOYS. There is no chance that you will regret it.” ~Noah Brooks, 2015 NOYS Intern
“Interning for a summer with NOYS was a fantastic experience that provided me with insight into the non-profit business world. At NOYS, I was truly treated like part of the team. I was encouraged to voice my opinions and ideas at staff meetings and was given meaningful tasks to complete and worked on collaborative projects. My favorite part of the internship was being able to travel all over the country to help staff the NOYS exhibit booths at various youth conferences. My summer with NOYS was not only a great experience, but resulted in amazing relationships I will cherish for years to come.” ~Emma Canfield, 2014 NOYS Intern
