Violence is a public health problem because of its tremendous impact on the health and well-being of our youth. Interpersonal violence is defined as the intentional use of physical force or power, threatened or actual, against another person that results in or has a high likelihood of resulting in injury, death, or psychological harm (Dahlberg and Krug 2002).
