NOYS works as an umbrella organization, supporting, strengthening, and promoting our membership through professional development, partnerships, and recognition. As a coalition, we work together to implement a broad array of programs, develop educational activities and campaigns, share best practices and research findings, and advocate for youth safety causes.

  • April Rai

    CEO


    April Rai serves as CEO for the National Organizations for Youth Safety (NOYS). In this role, April works to leverage strategic partnerships and promote cross-collaboration among nonprofit organizations, federal agencies, and industry. April joined NOYS in 2015 as Director of Member Programs and served as Interim Executive Director from July-December 2017.

    Previously, April served as Manager & Affairs Analyst in the Office of the Dean at the University of Maryland, School of Nursing directing government affairs and communications. During that time, she also managed day to day operations for the State of Maryland, Action Coalition, an initiative of the AARP Foundation, AARP and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. This coalition of healthcare professionals worked to implement the Institute of Medicine's report on the future of nursing throughout the state of Maryland as one of 50 state coalitions leveraging stakeholder engagement towards this mission.

  • Tameka Brown

    Director


    Tameka "Tami" Brown serves as Director for the National Organizations for Youth Safety (NOYS). In this role, Tami works with the CEO to manage youth programs, communications and fundraising initiatives. Previously, Tami served as Executive Director at the Center for Effective Reading Instruction (CERI) providing strategic leadership in furthering evidence-based approaches to reading and learning so that all students acquire the highest levels of literacy. 

  • June Hughes

    Project Manager


    June Hughes serves as Project Manager for NOYS. In this role she supports youth initiatives through administration and event support. Previously, June managed an after-school and tutoring program for elementary and middle-school youth. This was one way she could spend every day with her small children and work full time. She loves children, a good massage, and working to support her world travel habit.

  • Isabella Diecidue

    Communications and Digital Media Specialist


    Isabella Diecidue serves as the Communications and Digital Media Specialist. In this role, Isabella works with the CEO to plan, develop and implement strategies for effective communications on NOYS social media and other digital channels. In addition, Isabella monitors trends and provides feedback to NOYS member organizations on communications best practices and mechanisms.

    Isabella graduated from Susquehanna University in 2016 with a degree in Digital Multimedia Communications with an emphasis in Broadcasting and a minor in Music Technology. She joined the NOYS team in 2017 as Social Media Coordinator for the Tread Wisely program.

  • Scott Hannah

    Project Consultant, The Great American NO BULL Challenge


    Scott serves as a project consultant managing outreach for the Great American NO BULL Challenge (GANBC). Scott is a recent graduate from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. As a National Spokesperson inspiring social action for GANBC since 2013, Scott has led events across the country, on Capitol Hill and has been featured on the TODAY Show and the Steve Harvey show! In addition, he has coordinated NO BULL benefit events and assisted with the LA NO BULL Teen Video Award show.

    Recently, Scott held a key position on the strategy team developing and driving strategic initiatives for an inspiring documentary "The Student Body Film" (Found on Netflix), which focuses on issues around state-mandated BMI tests.

  • Diane Fabian

    Financial Services Administrator


    Diane Fabian is Financial Services Administrator at NOYS. She manages workflow around accounts payable/receivable, federal grant billing, benefits administration, and accounting/audit compliance. Diane enjoys cooking, sports, theater, music, travel, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
