Michael Lissack, Amy Kulp, Mo Canady and Shawn Edgington Join NOYS Board of Directors

National Organizations for Youth Safety (NOYS), an organization which builds partnerships to save lives, prevent injuries, and promote safe and healthy lifestyles among all youth, announced the appointment of four new board members. They are:

Michael Lissack

Empowering Victims/Institute for the Study of Coherence and Emergence

For the past three years, Lissack has been leading efforts to make use of technology to create a safer environment with respect to sexual assaults, domestic violence, and school age bullying.

Amy Kulp

American Association of Suicidology/National Center for the Prevention of Youth Suicide

Kulp brings to the table twenty years dedicated experience preventing suicide in the U.S. including four years as Director of the National Center for the Prevention of Youth Suicide, working with high school and college youth to serve as gatekeepers for their peers and friends.

Mo Canady

National Association of School Resource Officers

Canady served as a Lieutenant with the City of Hoover Police Department in Hoover, Alabama and spent 12 years as commander of the School Services Division providing services to over 13,000 students. Mo has been a Law Enforcement Instructor since 1993 covering courses including Tactical Response to School Shootings, Student Violence, Evidence Photography and Fingerprinting.

Shawn Edgington

Granite Insurance Brokers & Founder, The Great American NO BULL Challenge

Edgington is the principal of Granite Insurance Brokerage, a best-selling author and founder of The Great American NO BULL Challenge, a leadership and social action organization that inspires teens and young adults from around the world to say NO BULL, by taking a stand against all things HATEFUL by taking on a leadership role and leveraging the power of filmmaking.

"We are excited to welcome Michael, Amy, Mo and Shawn to the table," said NOYS President, Roy Bavaro. "These dedicated and respected individuals bring a wealth of experience and expertise in their fields and will be tremendous assets to our leadership team as we navigate through the evolving aspects of youth safety and the organization continues to grow."
